How Can Jock Itch In The Area Between The Upper Thighs And Scrotum  be Treated?

i am experiencing chronic jock itch in the area between my upper thighs and my scrotum. Can t get rid of it with topical creams and presently the area is raw and painful. I live in Florida, a hot and humid climate. Is there anything besides the Rx topical creams that can cure this problem--besides moving to Arizona? I remember when i was flying combat missions in Vietnam that we suffered from chronic prickly heat and used a special soap that cured the problem. I haven t been able to find anything like that in the U.S although I don t know if that will help jock itch or whatever this is that I have. Any ideas. This pain and constant itching is driving me crazy!

I have gone through your query. Jock itch or tinea corporis infection can be treated with anti fungal agents. You can apply miconazole or terbinafine ( lamisil ) cream for local application. I also suggest to take oral anti fungal agents like fluconazole tab weekly once for 4 weeks to stop recurrence.
